I designed and developed the initial Umbraco build and front-end for the new Merseyrail website. It was created using a ‘mobile first’ approach. The Umbraco back-end was customised with a fully manageable slideshow for the homepage which enabled the (optional) use of ‘responsive images’ – a large version of each image which would be loaded for larger displays (eg. PC monitors) and a smaller, lightweight version for smaller devices such as smartphones.
